LBHS Cultural Awareness Night Participant Interest Meeting

Lake Brantley High School will hold its 1st Annual Cultural Awareness Night on Tuesday, April 3rd. The purpose of this event will be to provide all of our students with an opportunity to showcase their cultural heritage and to promote the uniqueness of our diverse student body. The event will feature free music, live entertainment, and free, delicious foods to sample from a variety of ethnic cultures.

Students, if you would like to participate in the event by having a display table of your own where you can share your own cultural artifacts and history with the Lake Brantley Community, there will be a participation interest meeting immediately after school next Tuesday, February 14th in the Community Room. Individuals, groups, clubs, and organizations are encouraged to participate. Students from all ethnic backgrounds are welcome.

If you are unable to attend the participation interest meeting next Tuesday, please stop by the Building 6 Office to speak with Ms. Garnes, Student Activities Director, for additional information and to pick up your participation form. Your involvement and support are sure to make this an exciting and memorable event!

This year the Lake Brantley Band would like to invite and honor not only our local Veteran’s organizations but also the Veterans who are part of the LBHS family. To properly show our gratitude and appreciation to those who have served our country, we will present a slide show during our November 8th concert (7:00 p.m. in the Auditorium). We are requesting photos for the slide show of all our military veterans: family members, alumnus, and staff.
